Master of Science (MSc) in Child Protection and Welfare
Introduction
The M.Sc. is designed to build on the Postgraduate Diploma in Child Protection and Welfare, which counts as year 1 of this two-year part-time postgraduate programme. The M.Sc. aims to develop applied research skills in the field of child protection and welfare.
Admission
Admission is available only to those candidates who have achieved a 2.1 standard in the Postgraduate Diploma in Child Protection and Welfare, and who submit a satisfactory research proposal. To apply please visit http://www.tcd.ie/courses
Course Structure and Content
Students attend classes on:
- research methods
- organisational change and development
- In addition, each student is assigned an individual dissertation supervisor, who provides support and guidance in planning and implementing the dissertation.
Assessment
Dissertation of 15-20,000 words.
